By accessing or using the App or the Site, you agree to the terms of this Privacy Policy. If you do not agree with this policy, please do not use the App or the Site.

When you use Apple or Google to sign in, we collect the identifier provided by the respective service, including your name (if available) and unique ID.
b. Driving Data:
We collect data related to your driving behavior, including speed, acceleration, braking patterns, and routes taken via GPS.
c. Location Data:
We collect precise GPS data to provide route tracking, trip summaries, and speed limit feedback. GPS data is collected in real-time.
d. User Preferences:
We store custom settings such as notification preferences and audio alert selections.
2. How We Use Your Information
Your information is used solely to enable the App's core functionality, including:
- Displaying speed limit awareness and generating real-time alerts.
- Creating post-trip summaries and reports.
- Enabling reward systems or gamified feedback.
- Providing you with driving insights and suggestions for improvement.
- Ensuring application security and monitoring usage for troubleshooting.
3. Legal Basis for Processing (Canada - PIPEDA)
Your use of the App constitutes consent to data processing as outlined in this Policy. We do not collect data beyond what is necessary for the provision and operation of the App. You have the right to withdraw consent by discontinuing use or requesting deletion of your account.
4. Storage & Security
MotoPal uses secure infrastructure provided by Google Firebase and TomTom. We protect your data using industry-standard security practices, including:
- Encryption at rest and in transit.
- Secure sign-in via Apple and Google.
- Access controls ensuring only authorized personnel can access minimal user data for support purposes.
5. Data Residency
User data is stored in data centers located in Canada and the United States. Data transfers between jurisdictions are safeguarded using standard contractual clauses or similar legal mechanisms.
6. Sharing of Information
MotoPal does not sell, rent, or share your personal information with third parties for advertising or marketing purposes.
We may disclose limited data:
- To service providers (such as Firebase, TomTom, or Wix) solely to deliver functionality.
- As required by law or regulatory authorities.
- In connection with the sale or transfer of MotoPal's assets (with appropriate safeguards).
7. Data Retention
We retain user data only for as long as it is necessary to fulfill the purposes outlined in this policy, or until you delete your account. Once your account is deleted, associated data will be permanently removed within 30 days.
8. Age Restrictions
MotoPal is not intended for individuals under the age of 16. If you are under 16, do not use the App. If we discover data collected from someone under 16, we will delete it immediately.
MotoPal does not engage in profiling, marketing, or targeting of minors. Invite links are user-generated and not initiated by MotoPal. If a user under 16 accesses the app, they are advised not to use it.
9. Your Rights
Under Canadian law, you have the right to:
- Access the personal data we hold about you.
- Correct inaccuracies in your personal data.
- Request deletion of your data.
- Withdraw consent to processing.

10. Cross-App Tracking
MotoPal does not track your activity across third-party apps or websites. No data is shared for advertising, retargeting, or behavioral profiling.
11. Website and Launch List
When you sign up for launch updates on our Site, we collect your email address. We use it only to send you news about MotoPal's launch and to deliver the early sign-up offer described in our Terms and Conditions. Our Site is hosted by Wix.com, which stores these sign-ups on our behalf and may use cookies that are necessary for the Site to function and to measure basic visit statistics. We do not sell or share your email address with anyone else. You can unsubscribe from any email we send, or ask us to delete your address at any time by contacting contact@motopal.app.
12. Changes to This Policy
We may revise this Privacy Policy from time to time. When updates occur, we will revise the "Last Updated" date. Continued use of the App or the Site constitutes your acceptance of the changes.
